To celebrate 3000 followers (which I hit a few days ago—that’s how long it took me to make this lol), I decided to make a Hawkeye comics masterpost. I’m not sure if there is one out there already, but it’s the least I can do for all of you amazing people who decided that my craptastic blog is worthy of your follows, so thank you. All of you.

It’s not the most comprehensive list, but I’ve put together (chronologically, I hope) issues that feature Hawkeye prominently/important to his character development and relationships with other Avengers. I have also left out his time with the West Coast and Great Lakes Avengers, and the entire Silver Age era because I was unable to find them.

Thunderbolts (in which Hawkeye becomes the leader of the Thunderbolts | it’s a borderline optional read)

#19-75

Avengers Disassembled (in which the Scarlet Witch loses her mind and causes a few Avengers to lose their lives)

Avengers #500 | Avengers #501 | Avengers #502 | Avengers #503 | Avengers Finale

Fallen Son: Captain America (a one-shot in the repercussion of Civil War)

(x)

Note: Clint also appears in Captain America vol. 5 with Bucky Barnes as Captain America.

The Ronin era (in which Clint Barton sheds the identity of Hawkeye and takes on the mantle of Ronin from Echo, aka Maya Lopez)

The New Avengers

#26 | #30

Secret Invasion #2 (x)

New Avengers: The Reunion

The Suspicion | #1 | #2 | #3 | #4

Dark Reign: The List: Avengers #1 (x)

New Avengers Annual #3 (x)

Note: Clint has a considerable role in the Dark Reign and Secret Invasion arc but I did not include all of those issues. You can find his further adventures (or misadventures, more like) as Ronin under the New Avengers series.

Hawkeye and Hawkeye (in which Clint Barton meets Kate Bishop)

Young Avengers Presents #6 (x)

Note: Clint meets up with the Young Avengers again in the Children’s Crusade arc in issue #9

Solo and not-so-solo outings (these are must-read, seriously)

Hawkeye and Mockingbird (a great character spotlight on Mockingbird)

#1-6

Widowmaker (with both Black Widow and Mockingbird)

#1 | #2 | #3 | #4

Hawkeye: Blindspot (great introduction to Clint’s origins)

#1 | #2 | #3 | #4

Avengers Solo: Hawkeye

#1-5

Fear Itself and its aftermath (in which issues relevant to Hawkeye were included; I did not include issues in the Fear Itself arc because it’s best read in its entirety)

Avengers

#13 | #15 | #18 | #19

Costume Reboot era (in which Hawkeye teams up with some other superheroes and gets a totally kickass new costume inspired by both the Ultimates and The Avengers movie)

Secret Avengers #21.1 (x) (Hawkeye goes on to lead the Secret Avengers and his adventures with the team continue in #22 onwards)

Captain America and Hawkeye (ongoing series)

#629 | #630 | #631

Avenging Spider-man #4 (x)

Hawkeye is currently in the following ongoing series: Secret Avengers (#22 onwards), Avengers (#20 onwards leading into Avengers vs. X-Men), Captain America and Hawkeye, and Avengers Assemble (#1 onwards). He will get a spinoff series with the younger Hawkeye in August.

edit: please reblog this one as I forgot to include the download link for Avengers Solo: Hawkeye. I apologise for the inconvenience.

You know that moment when you’re reading a book and you just have to stop and bite your lip and squeal or sigh or close your eyes and wrinkle your nose and forehead and press the book against your heart and just like sit there and try to soak up the gorgeous literature via osmosis?

That’s my favorite part of reading.

also, iron patriot is in iron man 3, apparently. instead of norman osborn, though, we’ll be getting eric salvia (coldblood, played by james dale badge) wearing it. sorta reminds me of the whole detroit steel situation, actually :o

I hope CGI takes care of how hilariously fugly it is. Because, wow, way to take my favorite suit (visually) and turn it into a giant eyesore.

WOW. That’s really ugly.

To his friend…

Ahaha, oh guy. Welcome to the land of “What Women Find Attractive”.
First rule: There are no rules. We are an incredibly varied bunch, we crazy women. What one finds visually attractive can easily confuse another. Sometimes we even surprise ourselves!
But when it boils down to it, the biggest thing with Loki (besides him being played by a handsome fellow) and a huge thing that I have noticed over the years of fandom is that a well written character with an incredibly amazing performance—no matter who the character actually is—is usually extremely intriguing and appealing to a large population of females. We women seem to love compelling characters… and a compelling character doesn’t always mean “The Hero”. Amazingly entertaining characters with strong, impressive acting behind them, who would otherwise be incredibly detestable in real life, are often characters with some of the biggest female followings.
Example: There are, in fact, very few redeeming qualities about a half-drunken, incredibly smelly pirate without a ship who almost always looks out for “what’s in it for him”, back-stabs those thought to be the closest thing to “friends”, and generally has everyone out to kill him on a regular basis.
But who, outside of that movie universe he lives in, doesn’t love the one and only Captain Jack Sparrow?
I mean, don’t get me wrong, beautiful boy scouts also have their place in the vast land of attractiveness to women, but there’s always that stereotype about the “bad boy” that seems to rear it’s head over and over and over… ;)

why do people not know how to tag properly?

Using a reaction gif of an actor doesn’t mean you need to tag him in that post.

Posting a photo/gifset with no commentary/caption or tag is good for no one.
